Being there in a time of need. Dale City Church of God contacted Kay Architects in regards to resolving various code and safety violations that were brought to their attention by the Fire Marshal. The violations appeared to have stemmed from decades earlier renovation by a previous congregation that had not been completed. Kay Architects reviewed the "Notice of Code Violations", and provided a code analysis and made recommendations for corrections to the violations. In addition, the church sought to renovate approximately 7,000 s.f of the existing building into additional classrooms, computer lab, fellowship hall and fellowship kitchen. Working closely with the church, Kay Architects assisted in controlling budget and schedule concerns. In developing the construction documents, Kay Architects met and reviewed proposed corrections with county Plans Reviewer and Field Inspectors.
